E’ una montagna molto famosa per la “Sri Pada”, od “Orma Sacra”, una formazione rocciosa misurante un metro e ottanta centimetri che si trova in prossimità della sua cima. Gli aderenti di alcune religioni credono che questa sia l’impronta del piede di una figura religiosa come Budda, Siva, o Adamo.
