Bu tür Tovil (şeytan) veya Shanthikarma (iyi eylem) maskesi, antik Sri Lanka’nın Budist öncesi Yakun Natima (Şeytan Dansı) ritüelinde kullanılır. Hastalığın kötü ruhların lanetinden kaynaklandığına inanan şeytani tanrıları temsil eden maskeli sanatçılar, hipnotik transa neden olan ritimlerle hastayla dans ediyor. Ritüel, katılımcıları bitkinlik noktasına kadar dans ederek tedavi etmek için hem psikolojiyi hem de hastalık hakkındaki Ayurveda fikirlerini birleştirir.
