Trudno udowodnić, że dany obiekt w muzeum był kiedyś dziecięcą zabawką. Jeszcze trudniej jednak jest wyobrazić sobie tego drewnianego konika z Egiptu jako cokolwiek innego. Być może powstał on jako nawiązanie do Konia Trojańskiego, wspomnianego w „Eneidzie” Wergiliusza w I wieku p.n.e. I nie jest to jedyny taki egzemplarz!

Znane są też przykłady innych zabawek (?) ze Starożytnego Egiptu. Archeolodzy znaleźli gry planszowe, gliniane grzechotki, lalki o oczach z koralików…a nawet hipopotama o ruchomych szczękach, które otwierały i zamykały się przy pomocy sznurka!

    I saw a very similar toy on an episode of “Games of Thrones”. It was practically the same. Could it be possible that this toy, or a very similar one in another museum somewhere else in the world, inspired the prop makers who worked on this production? Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
