Realizzata con perline brillanti di colore bianco e blu, e con conchiglie di ciprea, questa cintura fu creata dai Kuba della Repubblica Democratica del Congo, oltre a 100 anni fa, vicino al fiume Sankuru. Conchiglie di ciprea venivano usate come valuta in questa regione, per cui mettendole in mostra su di una cintura dimostrava la ricchezza ed il potere della persona che la portava. Queste cinture vengono ancora usate per cerimonie.
