Tämä pala sulanutta metallia ja lasia on peräisin vuoden 1945 Hiroshiman pommituksesta. Toisen maailmansodan lopussa kaksi atomipommia pudotettiin Japanin Hiroshiman ja Nagasakin kaupunkeihin.
